Betwixt the howling winds and sandy red dunes is a sense of calm and quiet. Hidden amongst the hills and slopes are low earthen houses that blend into the rusty landscape. Though few and far between, the residents of the Cardinal Refuge are happy and prosperous. Content in their serene lives, those who settle here prefer their own space. The residents enjoy a more solitary existence amongst the sand. The adobe-style homes are more spread out to give ample room for each resident to have their own privacy. While generally a more still and reserved hub, the refuge has open arms to those seeking peace and quiet. |
