On the frozen waves, icebergs of all sizes roam free. Drifting in the frigid oceans of the far north, they are giants in the chilly haze. Smaller floes dot the sea like a floating patchwork of ice. Little thrives in the harsh icy waters of the north. Yet, an observant traveler might spot a boat lashed to the side of an immense glacial mass. A more keen-eyed sailor might notice many more dotted around the bergs. Boats are transport and refuge, home to nomads on the tide. Both glaciers and boats travel far and wide on the currents. Ice crashes and clashes, breaking apart and forming anew. There is never a dull moment living on the tumultuous ocean, for it never sleeps. |
