 Swift streams cut through frozen glens and wind around frosted hills. A thick carpet of snow covers the land, blanketing fallen trees and coating barren boughs. Rime coats pine needles, their branches sway in a never-ending dance, lending high notes to the symphony of ice. Beneath the sun frost twinkles like stars.
Misty glens shimmer with long-forgotten magic. Tall stones carved with runes linger in the gloom.
The fleet of foot make their home in this forest. Their homes and existences are camouflaged by magic and nature alike. A flash of antlers between branches. A puff of warm air on a frigid day. Hoofprints in fresh snow. Only the barest of hints of the inhabitants can be caught by the unaware.
