Shrouded in mists, even as the sun is high in the sky, the world takes on a softer, muted tone. In fields swathed in pale hues, cream and white and pastel, there is rest. Tall ornamental grasses mingle with flowers, their fluffy plumes bob in the breeze. Paths overhung with wisteria lead to breathtaking vistas wreathed in mist. Crystalline buildings, reminiscent of greenhouses, rise from the flower fields. These seem to show their age more than the others. Their window panes cloud and fade. Climbing flowers creep up the supports, covering the worn patterns carved in the dull wood. |
