Opalhen
Domesticated
The Opalhen is a small mostly flightless birdlike creature, they are commonly kept on farms. They are kept for their eggs and sometimes meat, but more often their eggs, which have the appearance of stone. Female Opalhens are usually dull in color, while male Opalhens are known for their flashy plumage. Both female and male Opalhens have irridescent horns and scales, which they use to protect themselves from predators. Opalhen chicks are the same color as their eggs, and rely on camouflage to avoid predators by blending in with stone and underbrush. (Opalhens can come in any colors present in domestic chickens)
