From the farthest sides of the beach, everyone could smell the stew boiling over; exotic spices intermingling with fresh cuts and crisp vegetables. The amount who had arrived to offer their eyes and ears to Light Song was no surprise; when called by a deity one does not simply refuse such a summons. "You know..." There was a pause, "I thought you'd be more interested in the plight of a deity."The spring sun hung overhead, golden rays casting down onto the treetops to dapple the ground below with light. Light breezes rustled the shady greens while all manner of creatures darted in and out of the underbrush. Smaller wildlife darted away, avoiding the rhythmic footsteps of a pair of hors carrying their rider...

The breeze brought something new to the crossing. What had simply been the nip of autumn chill before now brought flakes of snow; the little ornate shapes skittering about the breeze. It seemed the migration wasn't much further out now and many kebanzu eagerly awaited the herd's arrival at the fjord crossing. The water is rich and blue- still, for now. A clear mirror that soon would find its cover rippled underfoot of the Torodon ...

It was warm, cozy even, in this part of the ruins. While more energetic personalities gathered around larger fires to tell stories and build friendships, other kebanzu rested and relaxed in smaller nooks; many were waiting to continue their journeys once they were warm and rested. Amongst the latter were Terryn and Oliver- the duo finding a warm and quiet peace among one of the quieter alcoves. The front of it was covered in thick...

Even the bone-chilling frost of winter couldn't deter the curious and bold spirit... nor the stubbornness of those intent to hold tightly to old traditions and distant memories. Or, if you were anything like Julius, the shivering winds could not deter you because you were a bit of both. With a stubborn will and pleasant company, the dark-coated keb had traveled far north through the ice and snow; he was donned in leathers and furs...

The eyes behind them kept their distance; they were unusually high up, a deep green that locked onto Emmet and Draven while something stomped against the dirt path. Hooves? The only thing that tall with hooves would be a Stalk Walker... but the dark silhouette seemed... different. While the duo could only just make it out in the shadows it seemed off; moving with a sway.Not to mention...Stalk Walke...

The duo had started the night with sillier intent; neither believing in otherworldly beasts lurking in the dark. If anything they thought moonlit shadows might excite the imagination but little more than that. After all, they were both braver and bolder natures; they were far too rough and tumble to find themselves spooked by thinking back to old stories.
